Cell Phone Etiquette

The other day we were having lunch at our favorite pizza place, It was early; the restaurant was just filling up. At one table an elderly couple settled down. Both of them  pulled out their little cell phones, iPhones or whatever they were using, and after placing their order, they lavished their attention on their little toys. This was not the first time I had seen people neglecting their companions in public for the sake of their digital gadgets, but it was the first time I had seen people of a certain age do it.   Your thoughts!
